Flashback Thursday: Radiohead "Just"
There was a time when Radiohead made music that really mattered and when they could really hold my interested, but that hasn't been for more than ten years. I know people swear by Kid A and their later output, but really, I don't get it. I like my fair share of weird music, but you can't be weird just for the sake of it. I'll start paying attention again when the guitars come back.

A lot of people feel this way about Radiohead, and I don't get it. Isn't it less meaningful when a band keeps making the same music their whole career? I don't think any band other than the Beatles has grown the way this one has over X amount of albums.
My theory is that it's not weird. It's just better than most.

I agree that it's much more interesting listening to music when it's new and different and the only way to do that is to change and hopefully grow. There's a ton of good bands that had one or two good albums/CD's and ran out new ideas and in my opinion got boring. I think the Clash is another good example of a band that grew a lot.
