Samsa

It's no secret that the music scene in Leeds is white hot. There must be something in the water, because
I literally come across another incredible band from the city every week. My newest find is a three-piece named Samsa, who play an utterly hypnotic and brooding brand of indie rock. Their music evokes a bigness reminiscent of epic rock bands from the 1990s like Smashing Pumpkins, Radiohead, and Muse--influences quite different from their more punk-leaning contemporaries in Leeds. Samsa released their single "To Conquer" on the Leeds imprint On The Bones Records last month, make sure to pick it up in real life record stores (UK) or iTunes stores (US) now.
