Locksley @ PA's Lounge [Tonight!]

As was proved by Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, you don't need to be on a label to take over the world as an indie band, plus Brooklyn-via-Madison, WI band Locksley are a whole hell of a lot more interesting. On their new full-length Don't Make Me Wait, the band works over revved-up Beatles influenced melodies with modern garage rock, creating beautiful pop nuggets that are forever caught in your psyche. SPIN, Alternative Press and Rollingstone.com have all been singing their praises, while they wowed the crowd on Jimmy Kimmel Live during their three song performances. Don't let all of these big names scare you -- find out for yourself. The band plays tonight at PA's Lounge [345 Somerville Ave., Somerville, MA] with the superhip but oh so good Scissors For Lefty at 8:30 pm.
