SXSW 2k8 Preview: The Rascals

Coming from Liverpool, The Rascals are Arctic Monkeys-approved and the first group endorsed by them that is actually qualtiy. In fact, Rascals frontman Miles Kane and head Monkey Alex Turner have formed a proper pop group -- The Last Shadow Puppets, who will be dropping an album called The Age of the Understatement on April 21st.

But back to The Rascals. The band will be all over SXSW this year, and they have a big sound, merging beautiful pop with spacey psychedelia. Their latest single, "Suspicious Wit," is out now on Deltasonic, while their debut LP will be out this June.
