Navvy

Navvy

Myspace // "My New Building" [mp3]

Navvy are a Sheffield-based quartet influenced by the likes of The Fall, Wire and The Breeders. They play a sort of arty punk rock that's heavily percussive and aggressive, full of big yelping vocals, thrashing guitars, and thumping drums. Their music is a bit more difficult than some of the stuff we feature regularly, as it's a bit rough and discordant at times but I definitely find it enjoyable. Their debut EP, the aply named Four Songs By Navvy, drops today in the United Kingdom via Angular Recording Company.
