People Noise

People Noise is an immensely talented psychedelic rock duo from Louisville, Kentucky. Much in the vein of other Louisville bands like Slint, My Morning Jacket, and Asobi Seksu, People Noise takes discordant sonic elements and mixes them into a gorgeous web of music. With layers of throbbing, dense instrumentation running counterpoint to softer, almost haunting vocals, the band's songs are as powerful as they are fragilely beautiful. In this sense, their debut album Ordinary Ghosts evokes the sounds of Muse, Radiohead, and early Smashing Pumpkins--though without the transcendent singles that made those bands so popular. Give them time to develop and they just may get there.

People Noise has just about hit the halfway point of their massive tour of the United States. They're playing a bunch of smaller cities that bands rarely visit, Make sure to check out the dates below to see when they're coming to your town.
