The Oohlas
I don't think I'll be rocking a post tomorrow since I'll be in NYC for the day. If you're bored, or even if you're not, you should come down to South Street Seaport at 7 pm to see Oppenheimer and Hot Chip. Looks like the weather is going to cool down, and there will be plenty of beer flowing. And you know what that means!

The Oohlas are a Los Angeles-based outfit that rock in the same way that Belly and Veruca Salt did in their heyday with a lot of killer riffs, but never skimping on the melodies -- a band that the Deal Sisters would be proud of! Look for their debut on Stolen Transmission, which is basically Ultragrrl's label that is distributed through Island. The album is called Best Stop Pop and it drops on September 26th.
