Diamond Sea

When a band bills themselves as "the world's most dangerous band," nine times out of ten they are dangerous alright--dangerously bad. That statistic aside, whoever wrote the Myspace page for the small Montreal-based band Diamond Sea is definitely onto something because the group is really, really good. Their songs are ultra melodic, dreamy soundscapes that truly have the capacity to break your heart. It's literally shoegaze at its best. I can't say enough good things about Diamond Sea, so make sure to check them out this weekend at Pop Montreal if you're lucky enough to attend.
