Peasant, a native of Doylestown, PA and new signing to Paper Garden Records, will be performing a handful of free shows in NY over the next few weeks.

12/06: Pete's Candy Store Williamsburg 10 pm
12/14 & 12/15: Subway hopping on the L train between Union Square and Graham Avenue 9:30 - 11 pm

Peasant, aka Damien DeRose, paints pictures with his music in the vein of Belle & Sebastian and Nick Drake. His new full length record, On The Ground, will be released in 2008. It is mostly recorded on 2" analog tape, and contains the guts of a years worth of writing and rewriting.
