A couple years ago, LA's Cold War Kids were just another band heralded by the blogosphere who dropped a succession of three well-regarded EPs on their own. The first one was a six track release called the Mulberry Street EP that featured gems like "Heavy Boots" and "The Soloist in the Living Room" -- songs that made up the band's early live shows and probably should have made the album. Over at RCRD LBL, they're giving away all of the mp3s for free. For those of you who just got into the band, these tracks are must listens.
